UK OOH industry saw a 5.1% YoY growth in Q1 2023, with revenues reaching ÂŁ251m.
Other traditional forms of advertising, such as print, direct marketing, and radio, are predicted to shrink this year.
Digital outdoor advertising accounted for 61% of the market share, with revenue growth of 6.8%.
Traditional billboards (bulletins/posters) also saw a growth of 2.5% YoY.
The OOH industry is expected to grow by 12.7% globally in 2023.
The Deal Notes:
SOS, a smart wellness products vending machine company, has received $7.6 million in investment funding.
The company currently has over 100 machines in operation in New York City and Boston.
SOS aims to make feminine care available for free by giving away 200,000 tampons and pads at all of its locations within the next year.
SOS plans to use the investment to expand its network and offer its wellness service and products to more consumers.
The smart vending machines also serve as DOOH platforms for targeted advertising and educational content.
The funding rounds were supported by Wasserman Ventures and Urban Us Capital.
Thayer Lavielle, EVP of The Collective, has been named to the SOS board of directors.
