Advertising dollars are being spread more thinly among various market players, including e-commerce sites, video games, and streaming platforms.
Consumer spending on entertainment and media products and services is projected to grow at a 2.4% compounded annual growth rate between 2022 and 2027.
Companies in the industry must be more creative in how they create, distribute, and monetize products and services while considering data privacy regulations.
One of New York's biggest private landlords, Vornado Realty Trust, believes that Fridays in the office are "dead forever" and even Mondays are "touch-and-go" due to the rise of hybrid work.
AI advancements could make a shorter workweek more feasible, but it's uncertain whether this would actually result in less work for individuals.- A new law called the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act is going into effect, providing accommodations for pregnant workers and new parents.
The law requires employers with at least 15 employees to provide "reasonable accommodations" for workers dealing with pregnancy-related limitations.
The law could impact nearly 2.8 million workers and is aimed at creating more just workplaces and advancing gender, racial, and economic justice.
A report by Placer.ai found that office visits on Tuesdays were at 62% of pre-pandemic levels, while visits on Mondays and Fridays were only at half of the 2019 levels.

Some good lessons on advertising for the guy who doesn’t advertise and 100% is a Jedi Master of attention.
“Ads” like this where you learn or are entertained are great, as they’re effectively content.
Consider Vogue Magazine, which consists mostly of “advertisements”, but they’re so beautiful that they’re worth seeing in & of themselves. http

Lesson 1 - Pizza Box Advertising Works
Lesson 2 - Know Your Audience
Lesson 3 - Optimize Quickly

In Africa, however, DOOH screens are still a novelty. This means that audiences are more likely to pay attention to DOOH ads, making it a highly effective advertising medium.
DOOH is particularly effective in Africa due to the young and tech-savvy population, as well as the limited availability of reliable data and infrastructure for digital targeting.
Specifically on Programmatic DOOH…
“The main difference is the level of development of the infrastructure. In Europe, DOOH is supported by a robust infrastructure, including high-speed internet and advanced digital screens. In Africa, the infrastructure is still developing, which means that DOOH providers need to be more creative in how they deliver their services. For example, Digit-AD has developed a platform that works even in areas with limited internet connectivity.”
Just checked, still there…🤦♂️
